
Assenti History
Assenti was founded in 2002 by Hank Kaplan, John Naber, Rob Keynton, Kevin Walsh and Paul Van der Pol. In 2003, Assenti became a Limited Liability company in and received its first two government sponsored grants the same year. Assenti has received over $1.8M in grants to date, including funding from agencies such as the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation (KSTC) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) to develop an implantable device to assist ophthalmologists in monitoring Intraocular Pressure (IOP). Assenti currently employs ten people, including seven engineers, two business professionals and one ophthalmologist.
