Gen III IOL (Intraocular Lens)

We developed this sensor which is compatible with intraocular lenses.

The MEMS capacitive sensor is on the outside, the telemetry IC is in the middle and we have 3 discrete capacitors on the other outside. The 2 major steps we have made with our Smart-IOP lens:

1. Eliminate 3 diodes (2 discrete parts that were previously placed in the optic of the lens) by integrating them onto the telemetry IC.

2. Use flip-chip packaging (no bond wires) to connect all the components together (more reliable and consumes less space).
